該模具主要由澆注係統、調溫係統、成型部件和結構部件組成（chéng）。在塑模中，澆注係統和模塑零件是與塑料直接接觸的部分，是塑模中複雜、變化、要求加工光潔度和精度的零件。

注射模由動模和定模兩部分組（zǔ）成，在注（zhù）射（shè）成型機的移動模板上安（ān）裝動（dòng）模，定模安裝在注（zhù）射成型機的固定模板（bǎn）上。注塑過程中動模（mó）與定模（mó）的（de）閉合（hé）構成澆注（zhù）係統和型腔，開模時動模與（yǔ）定模分離以取出塑料製品。為降低模具設計（jì）與製造工作量，目前大多數注塑模具均采用標準模架。
